I have seen first hand the difference that diet and balanced lifestyle can have on your health and happiness. Several years ago my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. I experienced the impact these disorders had on her quality of life, as well as my own health. The stress of coping with her disorders led to my own chronic disorders. I wasn’t able to give her the support she needed, because I could barely get out of bed and function as a mom.
Getting back on track. Doctor’s only prescribed medications that either didn’t work, or made me sicker. I decided to seek out a holistic approach to get to the source of the issue. I was able to heal my body with diet and lifestyle changes. After I felt alive again, I was able to focus on helping my daughter manage her disorders with diet and lifestyle change as well.
I found my calling. I decided to go back to school to learn more about how to help others find the balance and health I experienced. I know what it feels like to not want to get out of bed, not liking what I saw in the mirror, and not liking the mother or wife I had become. In my studies I have learned not only nutrition theories but how to listen to individual needs and help clients achieve the balance lifestyle needed for that happy and healthy life we all deserve.
My focus. I want to help families who may be struggling with the same issues our family did. I saw how diet and lifestyle changes not only helped to heal my chronic illness but my daughter’s disorders as well.
